The XML Programming with Java training course provides students with the foundational knowledge required to create applications that work with XML.
XML Programming with Java explores many of the common aspects of working with XML, from parsing to transformations and bindings. Throughout the course, you will learn how to work with both DTD and Schema-based XML documents, as well as parse using both SAX and DOM. As part of the parsing examination, you will learn how to use both XPath and XSLT through the JAXP interfaces. Last but not least, the course examines simplified XML processing through JAXB bindings.
This course assumes students are already familiar with XML.
- Read DTDs and SCHEMAs
- Understand the difference between JAXP, SAX, and DOM
- Understand when to use JAXP, SAX, and DOM
- Understand how to perform XML/XSL transformations
