The What's New in Jakarta EE 7 training course is designed to demonstrate the new and updated Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that have come out with Jakarta Enterprise Edition (EE) 7.
The course begins with a review of the new Java API for RESTful Web Services (JAX-RS) 2.0 APIs, Asynch client and server, and entity interceptors. Next, it explores the new JavaScript Object Notation with Padding (JSON-P) 1.0, JavaServer Faces (JSF) 2.2, and Java Persistence API (JPA) 2.1. The course concludes with an analysis of Concurrency Utilities 1.0, Batch 1.0 and Java Message Service (JMS) 2.0.
Prerequisites: A background in either Jakarta EE 5 or preferably Jakarta EE 6 is expected.
