Course Summary

The Intermediate Project Management training course provides enhanced skills for managing projects from initial scoping to project close. This course takes a deep dive into complex topics such as: dealing with project changes; managing resources and stakeholders; maintaining complex schedules, and communicating project wins and losses. This course focuses on eight advanced skillsets and utilizes a mix of lecture and hands-on exercises.

The Intermediate Project Management training course begins with providing students with an overview of project management, change management, and how to integrate multiple plans and/or projects. Students will then learn techniques for managing resources in a matrix system, project costs, and project quality. Finally, the course explores contract types and corresponding risks as well as a discussion of various risk strategies and a demonstration on how to facilitate a risk assessment in order to respond to unforeseen issues.
