Giving Back
Transforming lives in the classroom and in our communities since 2003.
At DevelopIntelligence, transforming lives is the core of our DNA. Every day we help engineers learn the new technologies, languages, and new processes necessary to empower their organizations to make our lives easier.
Transforming lives should extend beyond the classrooms and our clients – it should extend to our communities, where we live and where we play. Each year, we give back over 2% of our profit back into the community.
Below are a few groups we’ve been privileged to support by giving our time, money, and resources.
Operation-Airdrop (OAD) is a group of over 200 pilots and planes from across the nation. OAD has delivered unprecedented and timely relief to those who may have otherwise not received help for weeks with the help from groups such as the Texas Baptist Men, Salvation Army, Texas Navy, Cajun Air Force, AeroBridge, and Operation BBQ Relief.
In 2017, DevelopIntelligence donated 1% of net profit to assist with relief efforts in Beaumont, TX by providing over 720 lbs of supplies to those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Our partners, Operation Airdrop, worked directly with the Salvation Army and Texas National Guard to get supplies into areas that had significant needs.

Our participation in the GoCode Colorado initiative continued into 2015, with our team taking a more active role in promoting GoCode Colorado to local developer groups, offering support and mentoring during preliminary events, and cheering teams on during the final event.
2016 was another successful year for our partnership with our in-house Python instructor Dave Wade-Stein getting excellent reviews from students who took his introduction to Python half-day course. Here’s what one student said about the course:
“Last year I had the opportunity to dabble with Python at a DevelopIntelligence Hack-a-thon. I’ve always been curious about Python, just never had the opportunity to sit down with it in an organized, effective, and focused way. What I really dug about the hack-a-thon is that the instructor was very skilled in balancing the class to make it appealing to both the inexperienced and experienced which is always hard when people in the hack-a-thon are at such different levels of knowledge. The agenda was well organized and had the right balance of intro/background, hands on exercises, syntax, constructs, tooling, and examples of real-world use cases. Although it’s unrealistic to learn a language from scratch in half a day I feel that the time was well spent. I do have over a decade of knowledge in app development with other languages and one thing that really impressed me was the instructor’s skill at answering my questions without alienating others that came from less experienced backgrounds. This was a good taste of what DevelopIntelligence can offer and taking a full class with them is something I would definitely recommend.”
